2 – 9:30 p.m.		Turn a pile of sand into a sand sculpture at The Beach, a giant sandbox complete with sand and carving tools.
4 p.m.		Explore “Jewels of the Great Lakes: Michigan’s National Parks” with travel writer and book author Jim DuFresne
5 p.m.		Discover “Low Maintenance Cottage Gardens” from Michigan Rain Barrels
6 p.m.		Learn about cottage succession planning at “Keeping the Family in the Family Cottage” presented by attorney Mike Weil of Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C. in Southfield

3 p.m.		“Storming the Castle!” Learn how to make cannon balls (sand balls) and throw them at the toy solders guarding castle ramparts with Sand Pirate Janet Schrader at The Beach. The next attack will be in slow-motion, as kids of all ages stomp the castle to the ground.
